All offenders dealt with by a dedicated burglary team. With dedicated plans for those on bail/probation.
Dedicated patrol plans and briefing documents for local officers and wider force resources deployed into the area.
All victims to get bespoke crime prevention advice along with neighbouring properties for every burglary.
Working with partners to help provide crime prevention advice and target harden locations:
•Ensure all doors are locked, even if you are inside your home.
•Ensure any side gates or outer buildings, like sheds and garages, are locked and secure.
•Consider installing a home CCTV and monitor light system
•Install a burglar alarm.
•Fit a steering wheel lock on your vehicle.
•Ensure any spare car keys are stored in a safe place, disable keyless entry.

Tackle Knife Enabled Criminality

A bepsoke plan has been created for tackling knife related criminality in the North East. The results of which will be published shortly but this is a long term plan. If you know somebody is carrying a knife please report this to South Yorkshrie Police online, or via 101 or 999 in emergencies. Alternaitvely you can report it completely anonymously to crimestoppers online https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ or on their dedicated number 0800 555 111
If you feel you family member, friend or associate needs support from the police regarding the dangers of knife carrying please do also get in touch.
OP SCEPTRE runs from WC 18/5/26 which is a dedicated week of action looking at knife crime.
