Neighbourhood officers have recovered multiple dangerous weapons from a house in Doncaster following the execution of a warrant earlier this week.
After obtaining a legal warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers for Doncaster North Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) executed a warrant at a property in the Woodlands area on Wednesday morning (6 November).
Inside, they found a large knife hidden in a sofa in the lounge, along with a mace and a crossbow in two separate bedrooms.
Officers also seized three small quantities of cannabis and cannabis grinders.
A 20-year-old man attended a voluntary interview with police in connection with the incident and has since been released under investigation.
Sergeant Emma Townley, of Doncaster North NPT, said:
"Wednesday's warrant has allowed us to remove three dangerous weapons from the streets of Doncaster and we will continue to act on intelligence and information received to execute warrants, tackle crime and keep people safe in our local communities."
