The Sheffield derby match will take place on Sunday (16 March) and we are reminding those attending to ensure they are prepared for the big day.
With not long to go until the highly anticipated game between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday, which will be held at Hillsborough Stadium, it is important to plan your journey accordingly on the day so you can arrive with plenty of time until kick-off.
The city centre and the area of Hillsborough is expected to be busy in the lead-up to the game on Sunday, and you will see our officers around within these areas. If you have any questions or concerns, they are there to listen and help so please do stop and speak to them.
We are looking forward to welcoming people to the city and want to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable day. To make sure everyone is able to do so, we are advising people to be mindful of others and to ensure that you follow any guidelines and safety regulations when you are travelling to and from the match, as well as inside the stadium.
Away fans have also been asked to remain seated until the stadium clears, and will be kept updated on when they can exit the stadium. We hope everyone will cooperate on the day and follow all guidelines so that fans can leave safely.
Road closures will be put in place on the following roads from 10.30am and will be removed shortly after the game:
