We are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Sheffield.
We are asking witnesses to a road traffic collision and anyone with dashcam or other footage of the incident to get in touch.
Today (Friday 15 May) at 12.20pm, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Toyota BZ4X and a pedestrian on Arundel Gate in Sheffield city centre.
Officers and the ambulance service attended the scene, and the pedestrian, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains at this time.
The driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and has been assisting officers with their enquiries.
Road closures are currently in place at Arundel Gate, and we are asking you to please avoid the area if possible.
