The place at which the hearing will take place: The Professional Standards Department, Churchill Way, Chapeltown, Sheffield S35 2PY. Authorised members of the public wishing to attend the misconduct hearing should attend at that location.
A description of the alleged conduct:
On 20 August 2025, whilst on duty, the officer was breathalysed as part of random testing and provided two readings of 25ug/100ml and 26ug/100ml which is in breach of force policy and over the limit for Police Officers on duty, being 13ug/100ml.
On 20 August 2025 the officer drove a motor vehicle whilst being over the prescribed alcohol limit.
This is a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Duties and Responsibilities, Orders and Instructions, Discreditable Conduct and Fitness for Duty.
The matters set out above are breaches of the Standards which are so serious as to justify dismissal and therefore constitute gross misconduct.
