1. Could you please provide, per month, the number of Violence Against The
Person crimes that occurred between 01/01/2022 and 31/08/2024, inclusive of
those dates?

2. Could you please provide, per month, the number of sexual assault crimes
that occurred between 01/01/2022 and 31/08/2024, inclusive of those dates?

3. Could you please provide, per month, the number of hate crimes that
occurred between 01/01/2022 and 31/08/2024, inclusive of those dates?

Response

I approached our Performance Review Unit for assistance with your request. An
analyst within this unit has conducted a search of our Crime Management System - Connect which records complaints or allegations of those matters, which the Home Office specify should be recorded as 'crimes'. All our systems are designed and used first and foremost for Policing Purposes and have limited search capability. They provided me with the following explanation regarding their search criteria:

Q1 & Q2 Criteria Used - Incident Created Date is between 01/01/2022 and
31/08/2024, SYP & crime only filter, HO Group Name is equal to VIOLENCE
AGAINST THE PERSON, SEXUAL OFFENCES

Q3 Criteria Used - SYP & crime only filter, Incident Created Date is between
01/01/2022 and 31/08/2024, Racial Indicator is equal to / is in Y, or Disabled
Indicator is equal to / is in Y, or Religion Indicator is equal to / is in Y, or Sexual
Orientation Indicator is equal to / is in Y, or Transgender Indicator is equal to / is in Y
