1. Number of missing people under the age of 18 in Doncaster between the dates 01/01/24 and
30/09/24
2. Number of missing people under the age of 18 in Doncaster between the dates 01/01/24 and
30/09/24 who have been missing more than 3 times with the same time period.
3. The average duration of time which a missing child’s episode lasts within Doncaster
between the dates 01/01/24 and 30/09/24.

Thank you for your recent request for information received on 8th October. Your request has been
considered under the Freedom Information Act 2000 (FOIA)

I approached our Performance Review Unit for assistance with your request. An analyst within this unit has conducted a search of our Crime Management System - Connect which records complaints or allegations of those matters, which the Home Office specify should be recorded as 'crimes'. All our systems are designed and used first and foremost for Policing Purposes and have limited search capability. They provided me with the enclosed spreadsheet in response and the following explanation regarding their search criteria:

Data Criteria - Reported in District: Doncaster, Date Range: Between 01/01/2024 00:00:00 and 30/09/2024 23:59:59, Age (when reported): From 0 to 17 Years Old

Please note that for Q2 in the instance where a person has a birthday between the given date range and has been reported missing before and after this will show as a count for each age. Eg. A child is reported missing on 01/01/2024, their birthday is 01/02/2024 and they are reported missing again on 01/03/2024 this would show as 10 year old – 1, 11 year old – 1.
