Grindr Crimes Reported 2024

Please could you provide me with the number of crimes reported that include the word "Grindr" (referring to the dating app only) AND whereby the victim of the alleged offence is under the age of 18.

Please provide this information broken down into categories - e.g., rape, sexual activity with a minor, blackmail, etc. - and for the following year only:

We approached our Crime Management Data Returns Administrator for assistance with your request. The Connect System is used to record complaints or allegations of those matters, which the Home Office specify should be recorded as ‘crime’.

They provided us with the below information and the following explanation of their search criteria:

They searched CONNECT using the below criteria and there are no offences
recorded for the specified timeframe. There are 3 offences recorded with the
keyword “GRINDR”, however, none of them have a victim under the age of 18. This is therefore a nil return – No Information Held.

Criteria used – SYP & crime only filter. and Incident Created Data is between 01/01/2024 and 13/08/2024 and initial MO is LIKE (pattern match)%Grindr% and Person Role is equal to / is in Victim and Age At Incident is less than 18
