Total number (and monetary amount) of fines issued for speeding, over a 12 month period [betweenJune 2024 - June 2025].

Broken down by age of driver if possible (ignore this part of the request if not).

Response

I sourced your request to our Safety Cameras and Central Ticketing Unit who have supplied the following information.

Question 1

The total number of NIPs issued for speeding between 30 June 2024 and 30 June 2025 was 79250.

We will not be able to provide a monetary value as many of these offences will still be in process. As minor traffic offences, they are considered summary offences and as such have to be dealt with within 6months.

A significant proportion of these offences will still be waiting on the offender attending a retrainingcourse, paying a fixed penalty or attending in court.
