NIP's and AI Cameras 22-25

1. How many Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs) for speeding were issued to drivers in the financial years (a) 2022/23 (b) 2023/24 and (c) 2024/2025. Please provide a break-down of the number of NIPs issues for each calendar month between April 2024 and running until September 2025.

2. As of the 1st September 2025 (or the closest convenient date), how many AI-enabled cameras, which can provide evidence to assist in the prosecution of road traffic offences, are currently sited on roads within your area of responsibility?

2a. From these AI-enabled cameras, how many Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) have been distributed? Please break down the data by calendar month from the start of their operation and broken down by the type of offence that was registered? Eg, speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile phone, etc.

3. Please indicate whether you will be launching or increasing the number of AI-enabled cameras on your roads, and when this is expected to be, and how many AI-cameras you expect to install.
