Between 2018 to 2025, how many times has a GPS device (such as a location tracker or an AppleAirTag) been reported in cases of stalking?
Please could this information be broken down annually in calendar years in a table format, with acolumn for each year from 2018-2025.
Response
I sourced your request to our PVP Governance Team who have supplied the following information.
Please Note: The only way to get details on trackers without searching every incident, which wouldtrigger a s12 cost exemption, is to filter for “Tracker” in the MO of investigations with an HO subsub group of Stalking or Coercive Control.
This is reliant on a tracker being identified (and detailed in the MO) at the time of reporting/ crime recording so there may well be others identified later in the investigation or not detailed in the MOthat we have no way of easily identifying.
