Detectives in Sheffield are seeking witnesses to an incident that took place late last night (Saturday 3 September) in Sheffield city centre that left a man with a life-threatening head injury. The cause of the injuries is currently unknown.

At about 11.20pm last night, a man left the Frog & Parrott bar on Division Street and walked around the corner onto Westfield Terrace.

CCTV footage shows five men walking in the same direction. At this point, it appears an incident took place involving the man who had left the Frog & Parrott and the group, and the man then obtained the serious head injury.

Detectives would like to speak to anybody who was in the vicinity of Westfield Terrace around that time last night who might be able to help piece together exactly what happened.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything useful, or any premises with CCTV cameras that may have caught what happened on camera, are particularly sought to help detectives piece together a complete picture of the incident.
