Bookings are now open for the National Problem Solving Conference, which is taking place between Monday 17th and Wednesday 19th October 2022.

The conference will take place at The Hilton at St George’s Park, Burton Upon Trent and you can book your place by emailing a copy of the booking form available from problemsolvingconference.co.uk to problem_solving_conference@southyorks.pnn.police.uk. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

This year’s conference will focus on problem solving in a diverse range of communities and the agenda is packed with a plethora of subject matter experts and leads in this area. A final copy of the conference agenda will be available on problemsolvingconference.co.uk in the coming weeks.

As well as being able to share and take part in problem solving discussions, delegates will also be able to view presentations from the Tilley Award category winners and vote for the overall Tilley 2022 winner.

NPCC Problem Solving Lead, Chief Constable Lauren Poultney, South Yorkshire Police, comments on the importance of the conference, “I am delighted we are again able to bring together both police and partners at a national level.

“Over the past few years, the problem solving programme has been leading on introducing a structured problem solving ethos to prevent crime and help reduce demand. The foundations of this ethos have been laid and we now need to build on these practices and principles to sustain the momentum of this work and continue reaping the benefits this will bring.

“The national conference is pivotal in sustaining this momentum and having the opportunity bring together representatives to share learning and best practice, as well as recognising and celebrating different problem-oriented initiatives taking place, is a crucial part of the wider work ongoing to embed problem solving a core principle in policing.

“I’m confident we will be able to build on the success of last year and I hope to see many of you there.”
