Detectives investigating a reported robbery at Rotherham bus station earlier this year are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward having made an arrest in connection with the incident.
At 9.30am on Wednesday 23 March, it is reported an 80-year-old man was in Rotherham Interchange using the passport photo machine.
It is understood an unknown individual approached the elderly man, grabbing the money he was holding in his hands and running away. The victim was not injured.
Detectives have now arrested a man – age 24 and from Rotherham – on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on police bail as enquiries into this incident continue.
But detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have been in the bus station at the time to come forward if they have any information they feel may help.
