Appeal Following Theft and Assault in Rotherham

Police in Rotherham are appealing for information after a takeaway delivery driver was assaulted and his scooter was stolen.

It is reported that at around 5.40pm on Saturday (16 July), a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was riding in the Onyx Retail Park, Harris Hawk Way, Wath Upon Dearne, when he approached a zebra crossing.

Upon stopping at the crossing, a group of teenagers approached the driver and began assaulting him, before stealing the scooter he was riding.

The scooter was discovered abandoned in Mill View, Bolton Upon Dearne, at around 6.20pm.

Officers are keen to identify the individuals, who are thought to be aged around 16 and 17.

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Onyx Retail Park prior to the incident or shortly after, who may be able to assist with our enquiries.
