Foreign national registration

If you are visiting the UK then you may need to register with the police.

Visitors from this list of countries are required by law to register. Simply fill out the foreign national registration form and take it your nearest police station with the documents listed on the form.

If you registered with another police force before moving to South Yorkshire then fill out the foreign national transfer form and take it to your nearest station with the documents listed

You must tell police if your address changes while you are living in South Yorkshire. Fill out the foreign national change of address form and take it your nearest police station with the documents listed.

In all cases if your circumstances change then you must notify the police within seven days.

If you don’t register then you could be fined up to £5,000 or sentenced to six months in prison, which might affect your stay in the country.

Do not send your completed forms by post or email because it is not secure.
