Partnership Award 2009

Partnership Award LogoSouth Yorkshire Partnership Award

Building safer and stronger communities involves more than just the police service. It takes the hard work of everyone from the public sector to criminal justice agencies and the community. Over recent years partnership work has become central to the work of police forces, local authorities, partner agencies and communities throughout the country.

South Yorkshire Police are dedicated to recognising the ongoing work to improve quality of service and our commitment to communties. As a result the launch of the South Yorkshire Partnership Award took place in 2008. This award gives recognition to teams of people who have come together in collaboration to meet the needs of South Yorkshire.

Road shows

After the outstanding success of the first South Yorkshire Partnership Award, Community Safety with the assistance of previous SYPA applicants will be holding a number of road shows throughout the district.

Aim and Structure of the road shows

Delegates attending road shows will be provided with an opportunity to meet with representatives from the South Yorkshire Partnership Award Team. In some cases delegates will also be able to learn from the experiences of last year's winners and/or speak to individuals who have completed the process and learn from their experience.

Delegates will be provided with useful tips and guidance on completing their applications and also be given the opportunity to assess some previous entries as part of developing their understanding of the type of information that assessors look for in applications. To enable as many delegates as possible to attend individual road shows many will take place from mid morning until early afternoon, although the exact timing for each event is to be confirmed.

How do I book onto one of the Road Shows?

Road shows will be taking place in Sheffield and Barnsley on the following dates:
