Your local bobbies need you!

Policing in your area has changed. It's no longer about government targets; it's about what matters to you and your community. But we need you to tell us what that is.

Local priorities are set every month for safer neighbourhood teams (SNTs) based on what you tell us matters in your area. As well as the teams tackling these issues on a regular basis, when you call us about a non-emergency incident that refers to one of your local priorities, police response teams will aim to be with you within the hour.

So how do you get in touch and inform what we do?

As well as contacting us via phone, email or post, you can come along to one of our monthly PACT (partners and communities together) meetings or simply stop and talk to a police officer on the beat. We want you to see the police as approachable, after all we are here for you!

Every resident of South Yorkshire should be receiving a leaflet through their letterbox over the next couple of weeks explaining the many ways you can contact us, and which to use when, making it simple to have your say on how your neighbourhood is policed. You may have already heard announcements on local radio telling people to look out for their leaflet. South Yorkshire Police want to give everyone in the county the opportunity to inform what we do.
