PCSOs Malcom Burke and Matt Shaughnessy from Wombwell Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) lunched in style last Friday (12 February) when they were invited to join well performing pupils at the ‘top table’ of the dining hall of High View Primary Learning Centre, Wombwell.

The school has been running the ‘Top Table Dinners’ scheme for around 18 months and it sees up to 14 pupils, recognised for their outstanding performance, eat their lunch on a specific table along with special guests such  as South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue officers, Brewster Bear and now Wombwell SNT members.

PCSO Malcom Burke said: “This is a great scheme which recognises pupils who maintain good or excellent behaviour. We regularly visit schools in our area and carry out engagement activities with pupils to maintain a positive relationship and allow us to effectively communicate importance messages relating to safety.”
