Police appeal for witnesses after serious collision in Sheffield

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorbike and a car collided at 6pm yesterday evening, Wednesday 21 July, on East Bank Road, in Sheffield.

A blue Yamaha XJR ridden by a 25-year-old man was travelling up the hill towards Manor Top, when it overtook a van and moved into the opposing carriageway.

A black BMW 328 driven by a 58-year-old man was travelling down the hill towards the city centre. The bike braked and the BMW driver tried to steer away from the bike, but the vehicles collided.

Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in A61 collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pick up truck collided with a pedestrian in Sheffield around 12noon yesterday, Saturday, 17 July.

The Mitsubishi L200 pick up truck was travelling in flowing traffic on the A61 Hoyle Street heading out of the city when a 22-year-old man is believed to have run into the road from the nearside pavement close to the Meadow Street junction.

It is thought the Mitsubishi attempted to steer around the man but collided with him in the road.

Witness appeal after serious RTC in Thurcroft

Police are appealing for witnesses after two women were injured when their car left Green Arbour Road in Thurcroft yesterday evening.

The grey Vauxhall Tigra was travelling from Laughton Common towards Thurcroft on Green Arbour Road and after going round a right-hand bend, the car left the road 20 metres north of the junction with Hawk Hill Lane.

The Tigra spun 180 degrees before rolling down a shallow bank into a field where it turned back over onto its wheels. This happened around 7.10pm yesterday, Tuesday, 13 July.

Witness appeal after crash in Rotherham area

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which an 80-year-old Nottingham man was seriously injured in the Rotherham area today ( Sunday 11 July).
 
The man from Gelding was taken to the Rotherham District General Hospital with a neck injury.

Sheffield girl, 8, hurt in Mosborough traffic incident

Police are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Sheffield earlier today, Tuesday, 6, July, which left an eight-year-old girl with serious injuries.

At 12.45pm this afternoon, a gold Toyota Corolla was travelling along Station Road towards Mosborough village and when it was close to Westfield Southway, the girl is reported to have run across path of the car from the nearside and collided with the car bonnet.    

Police appeal after 23-year-old man knocked down in Thorne, Doncaster on Sunday 27 June

South Yorkshire Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in which a 23-year-old man died in Thorne, Doncaster.

The collision occurred at 11.40pm on Sunday 27 June, on King Street, Thorne, Doncaster, when the man, Adam Wayne Atick, was struck by a large white pick up when he was walking on the pavement. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Mr Atick, from Thorne, suffered serious internal and head injuries and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where he was pronounced dead at 2.15am on Monday 28 June.

Motorcyclist loses life in Thorne traffic collision

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old man lost his life in a traffic collision on Selby Road, Thorne, Doncaster today (Tuesday 29 June).

At about 3.10pm the 18-year-old from Goole was riding his black Honda motorbike along the A614 Selby Road towards Selby when at its junction with Hadds Lane, Thorne, he attempted to overtake an articulated lorry that was travelling in the same direction and had started to turn right into Hadds Lane. The bike collided with the rear offside of the Foden lorry trailer.

Motorcyclist sustains possible life-changing injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses to a single-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday 21 June 2010, at 9:45pm.

A black 1250cc Suzuki Bandit was travelling along the A57 from Hope Valley towards Sheffield, when the rider lost control on a right hand bend at Hollow Meadows. The 36-year-old Sheffield man received a broken neck, internal injuries and a possible broken back when he and the bike left the carriageway, colliding with bushes and a stone wall. He was taken to Northern General Hospital.

Motorcyclist dies in Edlington collision

A man has died after his motorcycle collided with a car in the Edlington area of Doncaster around 8.25pm yesterday evening, Sunday, 20 June.

The Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle was travelling towards Balby on Broomhouse Lane when it collided with a green Ford Fiesta that had just turned left from Bernard Road and was travelling in the opposite direction on Broomhouse Lane towards Old Edlington.

The collision unseated the motorcyclist while his bike continued and collided with a nearby boundary wall.

Boy seriously injured after Westfield bus collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a five-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when he was in collision with a bus at Westfield, Sheffield, yesterday evening.

The incident happened at 6.25pm on Saturday, 19 June, on Shortbrook Road, at the junction with Cowley Gardens.

At this stage it is believed that the youngster was riding a pedal cycle from the direction of Cowley Gardens when he collided with the front nearside of the single decker, which was travelling towards the centre of Westfield.
