Following the incident in Edlington on Saturday 4 April in which two boys were seriously injured, Edlington Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) and Doncaster Council would like to thank the community for their support in what has been an upsetting and challenging few days for us all.

PC Simon Kirkham said, "Whilst this is a terrible but thankfully rare event, Edlington community has responded in its traditional way by coming together, helping each other and supporting the authorities. The SNT is extremely grateful and the Edlington people should be very proud of the way they conducted themselves."

 Two boys aged ten and 11, appeared at court on Tuesday 7 April on two counts of attempt murder and two counts of robbery.
