Activities for youngsters in Conisbrough and Denaby
The Department of Children Schools and Families has provided run Youth Taskforce pilots across the country, to engage with youngsters in Conisbrough and Denaby.
The aim was to support young people aged 11 to 19 year olds in making constructive use of their leisure time through working with community groups and authorities.
Conisbrough Safer Neighbourhood team provided a range of activities including football, face painting and skiing with the help of Doncaster Council, schools and community groups.
Police Community Support Officer Supervisor John Barker said, "By bringing members of the community and these young people together, we have helped develop a community spirit that is sustainable for the future. The activities were well received and all had a really great time."
