Man in life-threatening condition after Tickhill collision

A 21-year-old man is said to be in a life-threatening condition in hospital after a traffic collision on the A60 near Tickhill this morning.

A red BMW 325 was travelling from Wadworth to Tickhill when it collided with the local man, a pedestrian, 100 yards the Tickhill side of the junction with Wellingley Lane around 2.25am today, Wednesday 20 January 2010.

The 21-year-old was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where he is detained with a dislocated wrist, fractured pelvis and suspected internal injuries. His condition is said to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and officers would like to trace another car travelling in the same direction ahead of the BMW on the A60 (from Wadworth to Tickhill) at the time of the collision that is reported to have narrowly missed a pedestrian.
