Kirk Bramall: 6-year sentence for robbery
A 26-year-old man has been jailed for six years after robbing two elderly ladies in Totley, Sheffield.
Kirk Anthony Bramall was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on January 28, 2010, after admitting the offences.
The first incident occurred at 7pm on Saturday October 24 on Baslow Road when Bramall stole a 79-year-old’s handbag. The lady injured her knee during the struggle.
The second incident occurred at The Grove on October 28 when Bramall again targeted a 79-year-old lady.
She suffered a bruised leg as a result of the robbery.
Detective Sergeant Steven Brookes, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “These offences have had a significant impact on the public in Totley and obviously there was a lot of public concern prior to the arrest and detention of Bramall.
“These fears have now been allayed.”
