Police are appealing for witnesses, or for anyone with information about a robbery involving an elderly lady to come forward.

The incident allegedly occurred on Monday November 2 at about 4pm on Springvale Walk, Upperthorpe, Sheffield.

It is thought the 73-year-old's handbag was stolen. She was treated at the Northern General Hospital after suffering injuries to her right arm, left hand and right leg.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and bailed but police still need witnesses to come forward.
