Central SNT’s latest PACT meeting
Representatives from Her Majesty’s Court Service (HMCS) joined Central Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) at the last PACT (partners and communities together meeting) held at the Town Hall on 28 January at 19.00hrs.
Joseph Unsworth, Chair of Barnsley Magistrates’ Bench along with Debbi Sivyer from HMCS attended to hear local residents advise on a variety of issues including the problem of inconsiderate parking around Barnsley District General Hospital.
12 local residents joined the meeting which meant that representatives and the SNT got to hear first hand some of the types of issues faced by those living in Barnsley town centre and the surrounding area.
Sergeant Keith Baird said, “The PACT meeting offers a great opportunity for the community to talk to the police and influence the work their local team focuses on. I really do encourage residents to attend their next meeting and air their views and concerns. Everyone is welcome.”
The next PACT meeting will be held at 19.00hrs on Thursday 25 February in Barnsley Town Hall.
