Police appeal for information - Sheffield
Police investigating a sexual assault in the Greystones area of Sheffield are appealing for information from the public.
The incident occurred around 11.55am on Wednesday 25th March 2009, when a 29 year-old woman was walking through Endcliffe Park. The 29 year old was walking towards the exit of the park at the junction with Rustlings Road and Riverdale Road, when a man has approached her, asked her for a cigarette before subjecting her to a sexual assault. The man has then walked off in the direction of the main park gates and towards Sheffield city centre. No one was injured during this incident.
The man is described as Asian, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 7ins tall, between 40 and 42 years old, of a large build, with dark coloured hair that was swept over to one side. It is believed he has a dark coloured birthmark or dimple to the right side of his face. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured ski type jacket.
