Police appeal for information - Sheffield
Officers investigating an incident in the Firth Park area of Sheffield are appealing for information from the public and for witnesses to come forward.
The incident occurred between 9.10pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday 3rd March 2009 at an address on Bevercotes Road, in Firth Park. The people at the address have answered a knock at the door, at which point two men wearing masks have attempted to force their way into the property. A short struggle has taken place, which has resulted in what is believed to be a firearm being discharged. The two men have then fled the scene. At this stage the motive behind this attack is unclear. As a result of this incident, two males at the address sustained injuries, one sustained a cut to his arm and the second man sustained a minor injury to his hip.
One of the male offenders is described as being in his twenties, of medium muscular build, and approximately 5ft 9ins tall. He was wearing a dark blue jumper with horizontal white stripes and black bottoms.
The second man is described as being of slim build and approximately 5ft 9ins tall. He was wearing a black top and beige/light coloured bottoms. It is believed that during the struggle one of the offenders may have sustained a leg injury.
