Police Appeal for Information

Officers investigating a robbery in the Ecclesall area of Sheffield are appealing for information and for witnesses to come forward.

 

The incident occurred between 10pm on Wednesday 13th May and 12.05am on Thursday 14th May 2009 in the Ecclesall area of Sheffield. A 21-year-old man was subjected to an assault and a robbery by two males outside an address in the Ecclesall area and then taken to a nearby cash point in the Broomhill area. As a result of the incident, the 21-year-old sustained an injury to his head and had his rucksack and a quantity of money stolen.

 

The two male offenders are described as white, and are believed to have spoken with an Irish accent. They were both wearing dark hooded tops, one with ‘NIKE’ written in white letters on the back. They were carrying a large golf style umbrella with the initials ‘dml’ on it.

 

Officers are appealing for witnesses in particular a person, who they believe may have witnessed and spoken to the suspects in Frog Walk, to come forward, as they may be able to help police further their enquiries.
