Police appeal following bag snatch
Police in Sheffield are appealing for the public's help in tracing a man who robbed a 74 year-old woman in the Dore area of the city.
The incident took place at 3.50pm on Tuesday 7th April 2009. The elderly woman was walking along Savage Lane towards the shops in Dore Village. The pensioner then turned off Savage lane and cut through a gennel, at which point a man approached her, pushed her to the ground and snatched her handbag.
The offender is described as white, 17 -18 years old, of a medium build, with short black hair,wearing a dark blue top, and dark coloured trousers.
The pensioner was left with minor cuts and bruising to her hand, and very shaken from her ordeal.
