Man named after Broomhall shooting

The man who died in the fatal shooting yesterday evening, Wednesday 1 July 2009, on Brunswick Street in Broomhall has been named as 22-year-old James Kamara from the Pitsmoor area of Sheffield.

A post mortem was conducted earlier this afternoon with the result being death from bullet wounds.

Detectives have tonight confirmed that the car involved in the incident was a silver Vauxhall Vectra. 

Anyone who saw a car of this make and model, or any other suspicious behaviour after 6pm around Brunswick Street, should contact South Yorkshire Police on 0114 2202020 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. 

The three other men injured in the shooting incident are all aged in their early 20s and from Sheffield.
