Appeal for witnesses to a robbery

Police investigating a street robbery in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses.

 

A 16-year-old had his mobile phone headphones stolen by three youths at Spring Lane Tram Stop, Norfolk Park, Sheffield, on Sunday June 14 at about 9.50pm.

 

The teenager was treated for facial injuries, including a chipped tooth and bruised eye, at hospital after refusing to hand over his phone.

 

The suspects are all male, aged 16 to 18-years-old.

The first suspect is described as black, 5ft 6ins and of slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded top with pink and green detail.

The second is white, 6ft, of medium build with a round face and short brown hair. He was wearing a short brown jacket.

The third suspect is 5ft 6ins, white, of slim build with brown hair and wearing a black tshirt.

 

Police are keen to speak to a black male driving along the road at the time of the robbery. He shouted at the thieves to stop before giving the victim a lift to a nearby tram stop.
