Police appeal following an assault in the Birley area of Sheffield

Police are appealing for information from the public following an assault on a man in the Birley area of the city.

The incident occurred at around 11pm on Saturday 24 July 2010 on Birley Moor Road. A 38-year-old man was assaulted as he made his way home from a night out.

As the man approached a bus stop opposite the shops on Birley Moor Road, he engaged in conversation with three males. 

Police appeal following a robbery in the Attercliffe area of Sheffield.

Police are appealing for information from the public following a robbery in the Attercliffe area of the city.

The incident happened at a Jewellery Shop on Attercliffe Road around midday on Monday 19 July 2010.

Two men entered the shop and engaged in conversation with a member of staff regarding a purchase of jewellery. 

The men then produced what is believed to be a knife, they threatened the assistant and forced him to the ground. The suspects then left premises with several items of jewellery.

Police appeal following an alleged robbery in Sheffield

Police are appealing for information from the public following an alleged robbery in the Parson Cross area of the city.

The incident happened at Tote Sport Bookmakers on Margetson Crescent at around 8.40pm on Thursday 01 July 2010.

A member of staff was in the shop when a man wearing a face covering, entered the premises, threatened the assistant and demanded money.

The man fled the premises with a very small amount of money from the till, he was heading in the direction of the old Colley School site towards Remington Road.

Police appeal for bus-stop witnesses after 17-year-old male assaulted on Bonet Lane, Brinsworth

Police are wanting to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a serious assault on a 17-year-old male that happened at a bus-stop on Bonet Lane, Brinsworth at about 2.30pm, Wednesday 14th July.

The victim, who is from the local area, was stood waiting for a bus when he was approached by a group of male youths.

It has bee reported that one youth from the group, described as a white male aged 16-17-years-old, 5ft 8in tall with a slim build, punched the victim on the side of his face. The victim fell to the ground, temporarily losing consciousness.

Unprovoked attack on 47-year-old man on Moorgate Street, Rotherham

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a 47-year-old man from Broom was assaulted on Sunday 18th July, just before midnight, outside Oxley and Coward on Moorgate Street.

In what appears to be a completely unprovoked attack, a man approached the victim and punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground where he lost consciousness.

A passing member of the public called for an ambulance and the victim was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital where he received treatment for serious face and head injuries.

Police appeal for identity information

Police investigating a burglary in Sheffield have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to who they believe may hold vital information about the incident.

The incident occurred on Thursday 20 May 2010, between 2pm and 2.45pm at an address on Earl Marshall Road in the Grimesthorpe area of the city.

Police are keen to speak to the pictured men, and urge anyone with information to contact South Yorkshire Police on 0114 2202020 quoting incident number 802 of the 20/05/2010, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Appeal for witnesses after bag snatch in Rotherham

Police in Rotherham are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman had her bag snatched in the Clifton area of Rotherham.

The incident happened last month at about 11.25am on Tuesday 8th June. The victim, an 84-year-old woman from the local area, was walking along Middle Lane heading towards the Post Office at the junction with Lister Street when two men waked passed her.

Police hunt man wanted for sexual offences

Police would like to speak to this man in connection with two counts of alleged sexual assault in Cudworth, Barnsley in April.

The male is believed to be approximately 50-years-old, 5” and of Sri Lankan origin.  He possibly goes by the name of Rizvi or Zaseer.

It is believed he lives in Doncaster but possibly has connections to London and Birmingham also.

Police appeal: indecent exposure in Hoyland

Police are investigating after a man indecently exposed himself on Kirk Balk, Hoyland on 29 June at around 4pm.

The man exposed himself to a female as she sat in her parked car.

He is described as being white, of stocky build and around 5” tall. He was wearing a navy coloured t-shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms and a long, dark jacket with a navy baseball cap.

Appeal to potential murder investigation witness

Detectives investigating the murder of John Lockwood are hoping to trace a woman who is believed to have spoken to the murder victim John Lockwood, as he lay in the street on Wellington Grove, Bentley, Doncaster.

Forty-five-year-old John Lockwood was then found injured on Lauder Road, Bentley, Doncaster on the morning of Monday 31 May. At around 7am the emergency services attended and he was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary but died in hospital later that morning.
