Police appeal for witnesses following an alleged assault in Sheffield

Police are appealing for information from the public following an alleged assault in Sheffield. 

The incident occurred at around 10.00pm on Saturday, 13 March 2010 on London Road at the junction with Boston Street. 

A 17 year-old man sustained serious head injuries after a group of men assaulted him.  Police have since arrested two people in connection with the incident; they are currently on police bail pending further inquiries. 

Although arrests have been made the investigating officer DC Matthew Jackson is appealing for further witnesses and would particularly like to speak to a man and a woman both described as white aged between 40 and 50 years, as they may hold vital information to assist the enquiry.
