Appeal for witnesses to life threatening collision in Doncaster
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which has left a man in hospital with life threatening head injuries.
At midday today (Thursday, 26 August) a black Ford Fiesta was travelling along Thorne Road towards Doncaster town centre when a cyclist on a grey BSA Metro, emerged from Clovelly Road.
The two vehicles collided causing minor damage to the bike and the car.
The cyclist, a 79-year-old man from Edenthorpe, Doncaster, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary with life threatening head injuries where he was detained.
The driver of the Fiesta, a 52-year-old woman from Blaxton, Doncaster, was not hurt.
