Police release CCTV still in connection to a robbery of a 13-year-old’s bike in Kimberworth, Rotherham
Police are asking members of the public to identify the individual shown in the CCTV still, after a 13-year-old from the local area had his bike stolen on Wednesday 2nd June at about 9pm on Fellowsfield Way, Kimberworth.
The victim was approached by a youth who asked to have a go on the bike. When the victim refused, the youth pushed him off the bike and rode away towards the Superbowl on Wortley Road.
Police suspect the offender ran through the Superbowl before leaving the area.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged about 15-years-old, 5ft 6in tall with a slim build. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark top with a white logo on the front. He was also wearing fawn coloured ‘rigger’ boots and wore a black chequered bandana across half his face at the time of the incident.
The bike stolen is a specialist stunt bike worth several hundred pounds. It is an ‘ONZA’ make and painted in black gloss (including the handlebars). The handlebar grips are transparent and there is no seat (this is how they are designed). A picture has been released showing a similar bike to the one stolen.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident or who can identify the individual in the CCTV still.
