Witness appeal after serious RTC in Thurcroft
Police are appealing for witnesses after two women were injured when their car left Green Arbour Road in Thurcroft yesterday evening.
The grey Vauxhall Tigra was travelling from Laughton Common towards Thurcroft on Green Arbour Road and after going round a right-hand bend, the car left the road 20 metres north of the junction with Hawk Hill Lane.
The Tigra spun 180 degrees before rolling down a shallow bank into a field where it turned back over onto its wheels. This happened around 7.10pm yesterday, Tuesday, 13 July.
The driver of the car, a 19-year-old Bramley woman, sustained serious injuries and is detained at Rotherham District General Hospital.
Her passenger, an 18-year-old Sunnyside woman, sustained slight injuries including whiplash and neck pains. She was taken to RDGH but later released.
