Street robbery in Rotherham: Police release two e-fits of men they want to question

E-fit 1Police have released two e-fits of men they would like to trace in connection to a street robbery that took place last Monday, 7th June at about 7.20pm on Broom Road, near to the Homestead Public House.

The victim, a 55-year-old female from Kiveton Park, was walking down Broom Road, when two men approached her.

One man pulled at her handbag and as she struggled with him, the second man kicked her in her leg and pushed her to the ground. The men were then seen running along Broom Road towards Rotherham town centre with the victim’s handbag.

The men are described as Asian and both in their early 20s. The first offender, who grabbed the victim’s bag, is about 5ft 6in tall, wearing a dark blue cagoule with white sleeves, blue jeans and black trainers. He wore a black baseball cap and a chunky silver watch.

The second offender, who kicked the victim, is about 5ft 8in tall, with a stocky build and round chubby face. He was wearing a dark blue hooded top with white writing on the front, dark blue jeans and wore a silver stud in his right ear.

E-fit 2The victim sustained only minor injuries, including a bruised and swollen leg.

Officers investigating this case would like to trace a man who was walking his dog in the area at the time of the incident and may have seen the two men running away with the handbag.
