Witness appeal after crash in Rotherham area

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which an 80-year-old Nottingham man was seriously injured in the Rotherham area today ( Sunday 11 July).

The man from Gelding was taken to the Rotherham District General Hospital with a neck injury. His 84-year-old woman passenger from the same address suffered minor bruising.

They were travelling north, in a red Suzuki Splash, on the exit slip road of the M1 at Catcliffe roundabout when the vehicle hit a crash barrier at about 1220 pm.
