Police appeal in hunt for missing Doncaster man
Police are appealing for help in trying to trace an 80-year-old Doncaster man who is missing from home.
Gavin Robertson, of Arden Gate, was last seen at 1pm on Saturday 10 July at his home address.Police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare since his car was found parked next to the River Trent in Morton, near Gainsborough in Lincolnshire. He is on medication which he has not got with him.
It is believed that Mr Robertson, who was driving a grey Hyundai Getz, registration number YT57 LRO, may have been trying to contact his grandson who lives in the village.
Extensive searches by officers from both South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Police, using a helicopter and dogs, have been carried out in the locality. Pubs and shops have been visited and house to house enquiries conducted.
Today the searches are continuing with the help of South Yorkshire's helicopter.
Mr Robertson is described as about 5ft 6ins tall with silver grey receding hair, of thin build with blue eyes and bushy eyebrows. He is believed to have been wearing a beige/grey top.
