Sheffield girl, 8, hurt in Mosborough traffic incident

Police are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Sheffield earlier today, Tuesday, 6, July, which left an eight-year-old girl with serious injuries.

At 12.45pm this afternoon, a gold Toyota Corolla was travelling along Station Road towards Mosborough village and when it was close to Westfield Southway, the girl is reported to have run across path of the car from the nearside and collided with the car bonnet.    

The eight-year-old from Westfield, suffered head, leg and hip injuries and was taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.

The 57-year-old female driver of the Corolla from Derbyshire was not hurt.
