Murder enquiry launched after Sheffield man dies

Detectives have launched a murder enquiry after a 29-year-old Sheffield man died in hospital at 10.55am today (1/9/10).

Police were called after the victim, who had suffered stab wounds, was found on Swanbourne Road, near Sheffield Lane Top, at around 4am today.

He was taken by ambulance to the city’s Northern General Hospital, where he died later this morning.

Detectives believe the man was attacked in or around Swanbourne Road and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
