21-year-old man assaulted during Street Robbery in Brinsworth
Police are appealing for witnesses and information in connection to a street robbery, which happened on Friday 26th March at about 1:15am on Nelson Close, Brinsworth.
The victim a 21-year-old man from the local area was walking home after an evening out with a friend. On Nelson Close he was approached by a man who said “How much money have you got?...Gimme what you’ve got or I’m gonna stab ya.”
The victim removed £45 in notes from his wallet, which was snatched from his hand by the offender. The victim reports that he did not see a knife or weapon but after the offender had taken the cash, he was punched in the mouth, causing a small cut to his lip.
The offender is described as a white man in his mid-thirties, about 5ft 10in tall with a slender build and was wearing a dark jacket and dark baseball hat. He had dark stubble on his face and spoke with a broad Yorkshire accent.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has information about the incident.
