Crimes committed on school premises
Please can you tell me how many times your officers have attended an incident at a school (pre/primary/secondary/college).
If possible, please you can you also list the number of serious incidents, and that nature of the incidents.
And please can you tell me how many of these incidents led to convictions, with examples of the convictions.
Please can you supply the figures for the past three years, or the most recent available figures for a three-year period.
Clarified further:
Instead of 'serious incidents' pls can you list the recorded crimes by Home Office crime specification.
'committed on school premises'.
Calendar years, ideally
None
South Yorkshire Police uses separate computer systems to handle the management of incidents (i.e., incidents requiring police attention or attendance) and crimes (i.e., those matters reported to the police that involve the allegation of the commission of an offence required to be recorded as a ‘crime’ under National Guidelines). You have clarified that you are requested in recorded crimes, therefore I contacted our Crime Management System administrator for data pertinent to your request.
The information you seek is contained within the spreadsheet attached. As advised previously, SYP do not necessarily hold conviction data.
