I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible with the following questions:

1. Police Numbers/ Complaints

i.    Please specify the number of Police Officers employed by your force (excluding PCSOs and police staff) during the calendar years of

2007,

2008,

2009 and 2010.

ii.     Please specify the number of recorded complaints made against police officers employed by your force (excluding PCSOs and police staff) during the calendar years of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  To avoid identification, please break the figures down into the following threecategories; "Constables" / "Sergeants" / "Inspector and above".

 

2. Police Officers - Disciplinary Proceedings

i.    Please specify the number of police officers employed by your force (excluding PCSOs and police staff) subject to disciplinary proceedings following alleged professional misconduct during the calendar years of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  To avoid identification, please break the

figures down into the following three categories: "Constables" /"Sergeants" / "Inspector and above".

ii.     For each police officer identified (but not named) under 2.i. above, please use a table to specify the

following:

(a)     The rank of the police officer using the categories "Constables"/"Sergeants" / "Inspector and above";

(b)     The year(s) of the alleged offence(s);

(c)     The alleged offence(s) broken down into IPCC Allegation

Categories;

(d)     The verdict(s) of disciplinary proceedings;

(e)     Details of any disciplinary action taken against the officer as a result of the findings of the disciplinary proceedings.

figures down into the following three categories: "Constables" /"Sergeants" / "Inspector and above".

 ii.     For each police officer identified (but not named) under 3.i.

above, please use a table format to specify the following:

a.    The rank of the police officer using the categories "Constables" /"Sergeants" / "Inspector and above";

b.    The year(s) of the alleged offence(s);

c.    The alleged offence(s) broken down into IPCC Allegation

Categories;

d.    Whether the officer was arrested and / or charged;

e.    The outcome of criminal proceedings (court ruling)

f.    Sentence(s) handed down by the court following criminal proceedings;

g.    Details of any further action taken by the force against the police officer in question, as set out in Section 35 of The Police (Conduct)
