Misconduct Cases
1. The total number of substantiated allegations for 2007/08 and 2008/09
2. The total number of conduct cases where there has been some form of action taken against an individual (under the old rules) and in relation to the new rules where they have been answered as a case to answer for 2007/08 and 2008/09
I have made enquiries with the relevant Department and received the following response: -
1) “Our records show that for the year 2007/8, 34 allegations were substantiated and for the year 2008/9 34 allegations were substantiated.”
2) “For the year 2007/8 under the old regulations there were 32 misconduct cases resulting in a formal sanction being taken against the individual(s)
For the year 2008/9 there were 32 misconduct cases resulting in a formal sanction being taken against the individual(s)
In relation to the new regulations, our records show that from 1st December 2008 to 31st March 2009 there were 9 conduct cases with result of case to answer.”
