I am interested in the circumstances and nature of the offences, the sentence of the court, including any appeals and the subsequent effect upon their employment status within the Police Service following tribunal and or any appeals.

South Yorkshire Police recorded two offences where a police officer has received a conviction whilst serving with South Yorkshire Police for alcohol related motoring offences between 01 January 2007 and 19 January 2010.

Offence 1

Driving whilst over the prescribed limit, Fail to wear a seatbelt, Fail to report a RTC

14 months disqualification, Fine £481, Costs £750

Resigned before South Yorkshire Police hearing.

Offence 2

Driving whilst over the prescribed limit

12 month Community Service Order, 3 year disqualification with opportunity to reduce by 9 months if course complete, £43 costs.

Required to resign at South Yorkshire Police hearing. On appeal sanction amended to a reduction in rank.
