A.N.P.R Cameras. Doncaster.

I am making this request for information about any of the above around the Doncaster Town Centre area in South Yorkshire, can you please supply me with this information as to how they work & record. I have been informed that they digitally read any vehicle number plates that pass & obviously the data would be stored on disc for a period of time, what i would also like to know about any of the above is do they take photographic images of every vehicle that passes as well as. I look forward to your reply in anticipation.

ANPR Cameras work by capturing live video frames by the means of optical recognition software, this information is then recorded on digital media. A photographic image is recorded of every plate patch that passes the camera.
